No-Bake Peanut Butter Oat & Chocolate Bars

If you live for chocolate, and you’re always looking for sweets that are at least a little healthy, these little nuggets from heaven are for you! These delicious Peanut Butter Oat & Chocolate bars are dreamy, filling, and make a great treat or even a sweet breakfast. They take 5-minutes to throw together, and you probably already have everything you need to make them in your house.

 

 

 

 

Servings: Makes 10 Squares

 

Total Thyme: 5 minutes to put together, 30 minutes in the fridge or freezer

 

Ingredients: 

Steel Cut Oats (Rolled Oats are fine too)- 1 cup

Peanut Butter (or any nut butter of your choice)- ½ cup

Maple Syrup or Agave Nectar- ¼ cup

Chocolate Chips- ½ cup (a good quality chocolate chip is key. I like Ghirardeli or Whole foods brand)

Coconut Oil- 1 tbsp

Sea Salt- just a sprinkle

Parchment paper for pan

 

 

Directions:

Line a bread pan with parchment paper.

 

Pour peanut butter and maple syrup into a small sauce pan. Heat over low-medium and stir constantly until they’re mixed well.

 

Add in the oats and stir really well. Remove sauce pan from burner and let cool.

 

Add chocolate chips to microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Remove, stir, and add coconut oil and microwave for another minute. Stir well.

 

Put your oat and peanut butter mixture in the pan on top of the parchment paper and press down evenly into one smooth layer.

 

Pour the chocolate coconut oil mixture on top, spread with a spoon to create a smooth top layer.

 

Pop your pan in the fridge to harden for about 30 minutes.

 

Sprinkle with sea salt and cut into squares before serving.

 

BOOM! It’s a party in your mouth.
